Iran is one of the main religious destinations for Shia Muslims from different countries.
The holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS); the eighth Shia Imam in the city of Mashhad and the mausoleum of his sister; Fatima Masumeh in Qom, are the main reasons to choose Iran as religious destination and these two cities are two first popular religious cities among Iranians and also Shia Muslims from other countries.
In the city of Qom, You will visit the holy shrine of Fatima Masumeh (Imam Reza’s sister). Near to Qom, Jamkaran mosque is located. It’s believed that Muhammad al-Mahdi (the 12th Shi'ite Imam) once appeared there and after that this place is considered as a sacred place.
Three other significant sites planned to visit on this tour are the holy shrine of Shah-Abdol-Azim, Imamzadeh Saleh and shrine of Imam Khomeini, all of them in Tehran.
As it’s mentioned, you will visit the holy shrine of Imam Reza (AS) in the city of Mashhad. Near to Mashhad, there is another sacred place named Ghadamgah. Historically, Imam Reza (AS) passed through this area, on his way from Madina to Khorasan. You will also visit the tomb of Khayam and Attar, two well-known Persian poets, in Neyshabur (a city near to Mashhad).
