In Kermanshah province in west of Iran, you will visit the wonderful Bistun Inscription (also called Behistun) from 500 BC; authored by Darius the Great. This amazing place is inscribed on UNESCO world heritage list and reveals the greatness of Persian Empire. Bistun inscription is written in three languages; Old Persian, Elamite, and Babylonian and it’s mostly about the victories of Darius the Great.
After visiting astonishing Behuistun, you will visit Taq-e Bostan; a remarkable series of large rock reliefs built during the Sassanid era. This magnificent monument illustrates hunting scenes and investiture ceremonies. These stunning monuments will amaze you that how great the Persian Empire was.
Another fantastic place which you will visit in Kermanshah province is the temple of Anahita dates back to 200 BC. Anahita is the ancient Persian Goddess of water, fertility and patroness of women. This great temple would remind you of splendid Greek architecture.

Discover the history of the capital city of Iran visiting the National Museum of Iran, GOLESTAN Palace, and the Grand Bazaar of Tehran.
