Pomegranate Festival in Iran

Pomegranate plays a great role in Iranian life in a way that in one of the Iranian events, called Yalda Night, this fruit is the main part. Therefore, it is understandable why there is a festival for this fruit.

An interesting event in Iran which is about a fruit, entitled Pomegranate festival. In different provinces, this festival is held. This fruit is a reason for people to get together in order to have fun and eat delicious goodies made of Pomegranate. One of this festival is arranged in Azerbaijan. This annual festival that can be considered a kind of exhibition is the best reason for local women to offer foods that they have made in their homes. What is interesting is that traditional and local music is played during this fair. People are so cheerful and dance and try to smile to spread happiness out.

The other famous Pomegranate Festival is arranged in Eshragh Cultural Center, located in the eastern part of Tehran. In this gathering, people from other provinces come to Tehran and participate in this exhibition in order to introduce and sell their cities handicrafts and goodies.

Some delicious food is cooked and sold in this cultural center. Not only Pomegranate but also derivatives of it are welcomed by people. It is good to know that there are different tastes of pomegranates, sweet and sour, so it is possible to find distinct types of derivatives of pomegranates such as pomegranate juice, pomegranate sauce, pomegranate leather, and etc….
