Cantor ( Kantur) Church
This church, known as the Bell tower church, is a Russian Orthodox church which was made during the occupation of Iran by Russians in WWII. Although it is not a big church, it has two domes. There is one entrance and on two sides of it Russians crosses can be seen. The word kantur in Russian language means center or headquarter. After the exodus of Russians from Iran this church was abandoned and as there is no settled Orthodox in Iran, Cantor has been considered as a historic monument and there are some showcases for selling the handmade jewelries.
This church was made in the first Pahlavi era in a place which has been an educational and religious spot for the Armenians Qazvin. Different types of services and the special ritual which is named The Blessing of Grapes/Khaghogh Orhnek, the most interesting ceremonies in the Armenian Traditional Feasts, are held in this church.
